Introduction

Whew! It’s been a busy month here at Nubo. Our team has been hard at work crushing bugs and planning future releases. This is the first official release note of Nubo Apps, and we are thrilled to talk about what we’ve been up to. Let’s get into this:

Redesigned /new Route

First things first, we have totally redesigned the /new route to provide a better and more responsive user experience when creating Frames. We have introduced a two step process to going live. The first step is to choose a source. This stage looks like:

Redesigned /new route stage one

Step one: Choose a source

We’ve added some basic templates for demonstration purposes. If you want to get something live quickly to test out our service, give our templates a try. Step two looks like:

Redesigned /new route stage two

Step two: Configure the Frame

This second stage is all about configuring the deployment. You have options that include: specifying the builder, minimum running replicas, entrypoint, and environment variables.

Golang support

After launch, we added a new builder: builder-tiny which supports Golang and Java applications.

Conclusion

Those are the main features we launched. But the main focus of this month has been quality-of-life improvements. Therefore, as mentioned, we have been squashing many bugs.

Stay tuned for our next release note. Where we should have logs, metrics, and so much more!
